Non-Alcoholic Christmas Drinks

Now we’ve already given you a list of our favorite alcoholic Christmas cocktails, but now we have a list of non-alcoholic drinks too.

We hope this helps you both celebrate and get through your holiday season. For those who don’t drink, those who are underage, and those who act as the designated driver this festive season – Alexa, play Enrique Iglesias “Hero”.

Gin-free G&T

Bruise the cardamom pods and slice the cucumber. Put them both in a large jug and add the chamomile teabag, mint leaves, lemon zest, cloves and rosemary. Top up with 500ml cold water. Leave to infuse in the fridge for 2-4 hrs.

To serve, strain the infused water and pour 50ml of it into each glass. Top up with tonic water and lots of ice. Garnish each one with a few more mint leaves and pomegranate seeds.

1 strip lemon zest

5 cloves

½ bunch rosemary

tonic water

ice

5 cardamom pods

½ cucumber

1 chamomile teabag

½ bunch mint leaves, plus extra to garnish

pomegranate seeds to garnish

Spiced Apple Syrup With Clementine & Cloves

Heat the apple juice with the whole spices, ginger, zest and sugar. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 mins.

Remove from the heat and leave to cool, then strain the syrup into small bottles.

200ml apple juice

1 cinnamon stick

1 tsp whole allspice

1 mace blade

2 whole cloves

small strip fresh ginger

100g golden caster sugar

1 clementine, zest finely peeled with a vegetable peeler

Nutmeg and Orange Coffee

Put the ground coffee, cinnamon stick and dates in a large cafetiere. Add the ground nutmeg, cloves and orange zest, then pour over 400ml freshly boiled water.

Stir gently with a wooden spoon to combine, then leave to steep for 4 mins. Slowly push down the plunger and serve in espresso cups.

4 tbsp ground coffee

1 small cinnamon stick

2 pitted dates

pinch of ground nutmeg

2 cloves

strip of pared orange zest

Mulled Wine

Put the pomegranate juice, sugar, blackberries and apple juice in a saucepan. Add the cinnamon, star anise, cloves, peppercorns and orange. Heat gently until simmering. Taste for sweetness, then strain into heatproof glasses.

250ml apple juice

1 cinnamon stick

1 star anise

4 cloves

3 black peppercorns

500ml pomegranate juice

25g golden caster sugar

1 orange, quartered

handful of frozen blackberries

Christmas Cocktails To Help Get You Through The Season

Now this one is for our older readers. For those readers that are of legal drinking age in whatever part of the world you may be.

We’re here to put the RUM in “pa-rum-pumpumpum“, and make these spirits bright for your next holiday party! So hold on to your Reinbeers, here are some of our favorite cocktails…

Christmas Cocktails

Pear & Orange Champagne Punch

Mix all ingredients in punch bowl! Throw slices of pears and oranges in for freshness!

(750-ml.) Bottle Chilled Sparkling Wine/Champagne

Chilled Pear Nectar 2tbsp. 

Orange Bitters

Slices of Pears & Oranges

Christmas Cocktail

Jack Frost

Coat rim in Coconut shavings. Blend all ingredients in blender. Pour to serve.

8 Cups of Ice

1 Cup Pineapple Juice

1/2 Cup Blue Curacao

1/2 Cup Vodka or Light Rum

1/2 Cup of Coconut Cream

Driven Snow Cocktail

Coat rim in crushed candy cane. Mix all ingredients together, shake and pour.

White Chocolate Liqueur 1oz. 

Blackstrap Rum 1/2oz. 

Ginger Liqueur

Ice 

Water

Coat shot glass rim in red sugar crystals than layer the following:

½ ounces cranberry juice, chilled

1 ½ ounces black vodka, chilled

1 cherry, for garnish

A Witches Heart

This one is relatively easy: 

¾ Purple Viniq (or any shimmering vodka)

1 Shot Apple Crown Royal 

Garnish with berries

Coat rim in orange sugar or nonpareils, then with a layering tool (or spoon) layer the following:

2 ½ Shots of Candy Corn Infused Vodka

3oz Pineapple Juice

3oz Cream Top Layer

½ ounce lime juice

¼ ounce grenadine

A splash of Mountain Dew

Dry ice chips, for presentation (optional)

Note: Always observe dry ice safety measures: Never touch dry ice with bare skin and do not swallow.

Black Widow Shot

Coat shot glass rim in red sugar crystals than layer the following:

½ ounces cranberry juice, chilled

1 ½ ounces black vodka, chilled

1 cherry, for garnish

Spooky Sangria

Muddle lime in a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients, shake well, and pour contents (including ice) into a wineglass.

2 ounces Crater Lake Vodka

3 ounces prosecco

1 ounce pear or white grape juice

1 ounce cranberry juice

3 lime slices and 3 lemon slices
