Non-Alcoholic Christmas Drinks

Now we’ve already given you a list of our favorite alcoholic Christmas cocktails, but now we have a list of non-alcoholic drinks too.

We hope this helps you both celebrate and get through your holiday season. For those who don’t drink, those who are underage, and those who act as the designated driver this festive season – Alexa, play Enrique Iglesias “Hero”.


Gin-free G&T

Bruise the cardamom pods and slice the cucumber. Put them both in a large jug and add the chamomile teabag, mint leaves, lemon zest, cloves and rosemary. Top up with 500ml cold water. Leave to infuse in the fridge for 2-4 hrs.

To serve, strain the infused water and pour 50ml of it into each glass. Top up with tonic water and lots of ice. Garnish each one with a few more mint leaves and pomegranate seeds.

1 strip lemon zest

5 cloves

½ bunch rosemary

tonic water


5 cardamom pods

½ cucumber

1 chamomile teabag

½ bunch mint leaves, plus extra to garnish

pomegranate seeds to garnish


Spiced Apple Syrup With Clementine & Cloves

Heat the apple juice with the whole spices, ginger, zest and sugar. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 mins.

Remove from the heat and leave to cool, then strain the syrup into small bottles.

200ml apple juice

1 cinnamon stick

1 tsp whole allspice

1 mace blade

2 whole cloves

small strip fresh ginger

100g golden caster sugar

1 clementine, zest finely peeled with a vegetable peeler


Nutmeg and Orange Coffee

Put the ground coffee, cinnamon stick and dates in a large cafetiere. Add the ground nutmeg, cloves and orange zest, then pour over 400ml freshly boiled water.

Stir gently with a wooden spoon to combine, then leave to steep for 4 mins. Slowly push down the plunger and serve in espresso cups.

4 tbsp ground coffee

1 small cinnamon stick

2 pitted dates

pinch of ground nutmeg

2 cloves

strip of pared orange zest


Mulled Wine

Put the pomegranate juice, sugar, blackberries and apple juice in a saucepan. Add the cinnamon, star anise, cloves, peppercorns and orange. Heat gently until simmering. Taste for sweetness, then strain into heatproof glasses.

250ml apple juice

1 cinnamon stick

1 star anise

4 cloves

3 black peppercorns

500ml pomegranate juice

25g golden caster sugar

1 orange, quartered

handful of frozen blackberries
