Travis Barker: The World’s Favorite Drummer Turns +44

The man who made liberty spiked Mohawks and checkered Vans fly is celebrating another year of life by gracing us with his talent. Happy Birthday Travis Barker! Born November 14th 1975, Barker is turning 44. All while being a successful musician, songwriter, father (hey, daddy), and record producer.

A Cali-native, Barker has always had a knack for music, even at a young age. Giving it a go at countless instruments, and even signing, he always favored and found his way back to drums. For that, we are forever grateful. Sure, after high-school he had a brief stint as a Laguna Beach trash man but it wasn’t too long before he became the tattooed God we all know and love.

A world without our favorite Barker projects is one we can’t even fathom living in. Gracing the world by founding music projects like The Aquabats, +44, Boxcar Racer, clothing line Famous Stars and Straps, and being a huge part of both the Transplants and Blink 182, Barker has a project for all of us to love.

Travis Barker: Crushing It In All Genres

Punk has always been Barker’s area of expertise, but that never stopped him from crushing it in other genres. Releasing a solo album (Give The Drummer Some), multiple rap collaborations, and even some country features more than proves our point. Big names like Lil Wayne, Snoop, Pharrell, Kid Cudi, and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor are just a small selection of those blessed enough to work with Barker.

The versatility doesn’t end there. Barker consistently delivers a live performance to die for. Literally. We could never. Drum solos that last a lifetime? Check. Upside down cage drumming? Check! What a gem, and what a way to impress us all with his perfectly sculpted, tattoo covered bod while showcasing just how talented he is.

Although we think Travis Barker should be celebrated all day, everyday, do a little extra today but streaming any number of his projects, sporting your favorite Famous gear, or reading his memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums.
